Predator and its new features vs. Dyno tune?
Hi I talked with a shop today that told me about the Predator having new software out that was just as capibale as LS1edit. I was told i could plug the predator email the info and the shop would adjust everything and I would still have the predator to do more little adjustments. So my question is it worth it to get the predator and let the shop do a custom tune and save myself a 500 mile trip or should i make the 500 mile trip and get dyno tuning? I have a dyno with wideband o2 local so i could do more adjustments with the predator.
thanks guys

onebadz- Not to detract from yoru statement on Edits value, but as a long term user, and modded user at that, I can say that Pred. is a good tool. With good support from diablo you can essential have an edit tune. Its easy, think of having an edit file emailed to you, then you hook your laptop up and upload into your cars PCM right? Same thing. Except you can make changes a lot quicker, dont need a laptop and monitor a little. Would be sweet if only we could log with the damn thing!
Good luck no matter which route you go.

Predator has been talking about a logging feature for some time, it will be great when it comes out Imagine logging the run emailing the file to them and getting a tweaked tuning file back, without having to buy autotap. It would double the usefulness of the product. I love the predator, I just wish they were trying to compete more with edit/autotap instead of Hypertech. they are close to providing the everyday man an alternative to edit/autotap. I think logging with a downloadable graghic interface would be worth another $100. I think they should charge a fee for the custom files. I would gladly pay a resonable fee to have a more responsive customer service.

I also just found out that if you are using a Pred, and you want a dyno tune for your car, you do not have to ditch the predator. You can put the factory tune back on your pcm, then have the dyno tune done, use the predator to save the tune that is on the pcm, then e-mail that to diablosport. They will e-mail it back to you to put into the predator. Then flash your pcm with the predator and you have a dyno tune with the adjustability and data aquisition of a predator.
