Hp pro or standard. Turbo car way to rich
I have a twin ls6 in an off road car. Was tuned with Hp tuners about 2 years ago and runs very rich. I have a WB that shows 10.5-12.5 a/f with an average of 11.6. WOT will push 12.3 I don't mind it rich but seems a bit much and the wb o2 only last about 30 hours and fouls out. The exhaust pipe is also very sooty.
1. If the wb fouls out can I assume the regular o2 are bad as well?
2 for tweaking my current map do I, or should I get the hp pro or will the standard work.
Also a shop did my map. I already paid for my credits, any way to transfer that activation to my newly purchased tuner?

That doesn't sound too rich to me. In fact, if you are making over about 3-4psi then the 12.3:1 at WOT sounds lean.
You paid for credits on someone else's cable. They are tied to the cable that your tuner used to tune your car. You will need 4 credits if you are just starting out and have a custom OS, 2 credits otherwise.

I was afraid of that, I didn't know any better or would have bought the software from the begining.
I'm ok with 12.3 at WOT but anywhere else not under boost I'd like to see mid 12's. Also would like to stop killing the o2's. It's a SD tune needing 6 credits I think, but a new unit comes with 6 credits, I think.

I idle at upper 12's, just off idle to half gas cruizing speed upper 11's maybe low 12's in some areas, half gas to 10 psi boost high 10's low 11's then WOT full boost, 15psi, low 12's. I assume the richness is killing my 02's and the WB are $100 each time.

Are you O2's mount after or before your turbo? If they're mounted before, that might be part of your issue. what position are the mounted in, if they are mounted in a horizontal part of your exhaust, are they in the upper two quadrants of the pipe? (between 9 and 12 or 12 and 3)

HPtuners Pro is the way to go IMO. Easier to integrate the wideband(and any other sensors you want to datalog), and the on board datalogging makes things much easier as well. You don't have to lug the lap top with you if you want to go drive and data log. Plug the Pro interface in and press record.
I'm considering selling my HP Tuners Pro if you're interested. $375 shipped. Has 2 credits left on it...Which is enough to license your car with a factory OS. If you have a speed density tune already, you'll need to buy 2 more credits. I bought this HP set up about 10 months ago...Used it to tune my car and a friend's, and then got out of the LS1 game....So I have no use for it any more. Comes with the original box and everything. Almost brand new. I paid a little over 700 originally.
