Default I keep setting a P0153!

I keep setting a P0153 ses code.....I have LT headers....I know the code says it is bank 2 sensor 1...so I replaced the 02 sensor on the passenger side..the precat one (in the header)...no luck code came back...then I replaced the o2 wire extensions....same thing..code came back. What else can it be?

I thought Bank 2 sensor 1 was the the 02 in front of where the cats used to be...I have read this in other posts...Anyone else? Please correct me if I'm wrong on this.

"Sorry, let me clarify, and in addition, their respective rear codes. Yes Bank 2 sensor 1 is Passenger front or pre cat sensor."

B1=left/drivers side W/#1 cylinder
B2=right/passenger side W/#2 cylinder
S1= pre-cat
S2= post cat
Now for the slow response code, is it possible you have an exhaust leak,even a pin hole?
Ever had to repair the wiring harness besides the extentions?
Can you scan the PCM's data stream is the O2 staying noticably lean or rich?

I'm getting the same code after fixing some exhaust leaks. Is it possible to ruin an 02 with an exhaust leak? I'm 99% sure the leaks are fixed, but it keeps throwing the code.

Another possibility, I used copper gaskets and permatex copper sensor safe RTV to fix the leaks. Could the RTV or copper gaskets have ruined them?

How about anti seize? Is there anything in it that could kill 02's?

I think you are supposed to use a sealant meant for sensors....I have heard of O2 sensors not reading right after being touched with other types of sealant.

They are sensitive to contamanation it will make them slow & inactive.
It all depends on what kind of compound they are exsposed too.
Most everything automotive now a days says if it is O2 friendly.
If your gonna use somrthing make sure it says this.
