Default AEM wideband shows 19.88 all the time in HPtuners

I tried setting up my AEM wideband in HPtuners with the instructions on the HPT forums, but I'm still unable to get it to read...it shows 19.88 all the time on my laptop. Wideband reads correctly on the gauge. I loaded the canned entry for an AEM wideband into the input 1 field as well and get the same thing. What am I doing wrong? Started a thread on HPT forums but got no responses...

White wire to pin one, ground to pin five is the way I have the wires set up. Everything else is done per the instructions on HPT forums.

I was going to ask if you grounded it. But I reread it and you did. Let me think about it.

Does the AEM need to be programmed with their software for your application? ie set it up for a 0-5v output?

My LM1 did.

You can easily check to rule out a hardware issue by running the AA battery test listed in the sticky on our forum. If its not a hardware issue its down to two things, either your wideband or the pid in our software which is easy enough to adjust.

The AEM is set up for a 0-5v output to my knowledge. I guess I'll go back and double check the setting on the back of the gauge to be sure, though. I think the biggest problem is I just don't know what the hell I'm doing.

did you wire in the analog input correctly? did you go from the guage to hptuners? or from the sensor to hptuners?

i had the same problem last week with my ngk...it was reading 10.79...all the time, but the guage was right, but i wired it in from the 02 sensor...not the guage..check your wiring!!!

The white wire for HPT comes off of a harness on the back of the gauge.

I've tried both, and they both do the same thing.

I finally figured it out. The white wire had gotten pulled down into the harness on the end that plugs into the gauge and wasn't connecting to the pin.
