Default How to deal with Oxygen Sensor Circuit Slow Response?

I have headers+ory+cb. I got the p0133 codes a few weeks ago so I took o2s out and put different ones in. Yesterday I noticed the idle a little different so I pluged in the obd. I have this code back again.

I know this has been a big issue with peoples cars. What has people dont to take care of this problem? People have said tune it out but when you tune it out I wouldnt think that it would make the car run better?

What do I do?

LOL - put it back to stock and stop modifying it...

just messin with ya...

But seriously - if the car has been tuned properly, it shouldn't throw that code... Has it been tuned completely with a wideband?

Im honestly thinking about putting the car back to stock and keep it nice lol.

I had the car tuned 6 months before the headers and ory were put in. The only way to use a wideband is to screw it in the o2 bung correct? If thats the case then no it wasnt tuned with wideband.

Iv been reading that tuners cant help this problem. The only thing a tuner can do is tune out the code but the car is always gonna be in open loop? Thats what I read.

Well, I've tuned hundreds of these cars with headers and they don't have that code in... my point is, if the tune is right, and the sensors aren't bad (which yours shouldn't be because you said you replaced them), you shouldn't get the code...

make sure the O2 sensors are new you get that code when the O2 sensor is ether worn out or the heater is not getting the sensor to operating temp. LTs will lose alot of heat before reaching the O2s causing them to switch slowly.

Does wrapping the headers have any affect on this?

I had this same prob with my camaro... i put lt headers on it and i had to replace the 02's like every few months cause they wouldn't switch fast and would cause the engine to run like poo in closed loop... I ran through like 4 sets lol... it would start to stumble and i would know then that it was "that" time again... i didn't dyno tune it though. I didn't feel like a set of headers was worth a damn 400.00 tune...
