Default EFI Live 4l60 to M6 tune conversion, different OS

Hi, i have a few tunes for some custom cars we have built and the engine builder has emailed me a new tune for an auto with a different OS than we are currently using and we are swapping the cam out. I can open them side by side and see there are alot of differences, but i cannot load them for EFI Live to compare them, so i would just like to convert this auto tune to a T56 tune. The current tune in the car is for a bigger cam, speed density and has some idle issues. Is there any easy way to do this without copying every single table thats different?
Thanks
Here is the info on the car. I can fine tune the little stuff as needed.
New LS3 6.2
24 reluctor
2001 F body PCM and custom wiring harness by Hot Wire auto
Custom air intake
Stock 5 pin MAF
Lunati R6 cam 549/549/223/223/115
Camaro T56
4.30 gears

If noone helps you before I get home this evening, I can do it for you... Just to be sure I'm straight on what you need - the tune attached needs to be a T56 tune vice a 4L60E tune?

A segment swap has to be performed when going from manual to auto. Not sure if the reverse is true. You should have to perform an entire write rather than just a simple flash.

Yes the tune i uploaded here is for an auto, i need it converted for a manual car. Everything else i can tweak or change. I figured it is more important for an auto car to have those segments copied correctly than the manual, but wouldnt the idle and other issues be controlled by the tune knowing what gear the car is in? I couldnt find a section in EFI live to just switch the transmission, but im also assuming the throttle could hang between shifts if you use an auto tune on a manual? Once we get the car back together with the new cam, i would like to try this tune which is supposed to be for the same exact engine with the same cam.
Thanks!

Custom,

Try this.
The attached tun is the same OS with a manual trans segment.

Good luck.

Brad

To copy a transmission segment:
1. open the target .tun file,
2. open the donor file as the alternate file (must have same OS id),
3. go Edit->Copy Entire Segment->Transmission,
4. answer Yes to prompt,
5. answer Ok to acknowledge that it has been done,
6. save the target file.

Do not flash the file until you have saved it.

Thanks blk02ws6 and brad! Im a newbie at the efilive thing, its kinda the last step of building these custom cars with LS swaps, and i havent had the time to learn all the details of how it works yet. Now i have a couple of good tunes to try and i also learned how to do it if i need to swap another auto tune to manual. Hopefully swapping to this milder cam, putting the MAF back on will make the car idle and drive better with the AC on. We arent changing the cam because of tunability problems, it appears we have a damaged lifter or lost a lobe off the cam after 2600 miles, so the engine builder recommended this lunati cam. We are in the middle of tearing it down now. I will probably be back for some advice on getting the bugs worked out...
Thanks again!
Shane

While you can swap segments, it's better to start with a file of the original trans type. There are MANY differences in the engine cals to complement the trans. All of the adaptive idle (PID control) is different, main spark maps are different, transient fueling is different, tq mngmnt and A/C control, and more. Those are just what you CAN see, there are more differences behind the scenes as well. That means that doing the segment swap and even copying every available parameter still leaves inconsistencies. You CAN run the car on a swapped segment, but it's best to reflash it with an file of the trans type you need and just move the relevant engine cal bits over from the file of opposite trans type.

Custom,

Another option is you can do a full flash with a different OS to take advantage of other features or a custom OS.

Just have to match PCM to OS.

It's a lot of fun to learn but it is time consuming.
