map kpa

map kpa
The car is a stock bottom end LS1. I ported a typhoon intake, and it has 85mm tb. No MAF, 4" silicone coupler between the lid (standard SLP lid, not a bigger one) and tb. Atmosphere was at 98, and the lowest recorded kpa was 95, briefly, the majority of the upper rpm range was at 96.
How much of a restriction is the intake acting as? Is a standard issue replacement lid a restriction in any case?
I'm kind of new to this and was hoping someone might shed some insight.. thanks!

95kPa/98kPa is roughly 97% of ideal, as far as that goes.
However when you are looking at manifolds, the MAP is
plenum pressure and doesn't really tell you about the flow.
A manifold with better runners will draw the plenum down
harder than one that's got skinny or inferior runners.
Similarly a cammed car is going to pull down harder against
the TB/MAF/filter/lid pressure-drop stackup than a stocker.
