Default Only fix or bandaid fix for OTR intake stalling?

After intalling a New Era Performance OTR intake on my 2010 SS my car started stalling when coasting or letting off the gas and applying the brakes. I logged a run and noticed the idle maf freq is always about 1950 give or take a bit. Well when driving and coasting or braking, I observed the maf freq bounce from 500ish to about 1950, constantly fluctuating. Im guess this would cause the motor to starve and hence the car would stall. So the only thing I could think of doing was to make one airflow value (.804) which matched the 1800 freq all the way down to 300 hz. It has cleared the stalling completely, it just seems like a hack fix. My question is, is there a way to stop the fluctuation of the maf reading while coasting/braking or is tricking the maf the only fix?
