Default How many credits to read PCM data?

I seem to be getting lower than average mileage on my 02 T/A and i've changed a few things and cleaned a few things and nothing seemed to make much, if any, of a difference.

I'm pretty sure the only other thing left is to check the tune on the PCM to see if something is off.

What I'm wondering is how many credits HP Tuners or EFI uses to only read and save PCM data so i can get an idea how much someone is going to charge me.

No credits to read and save only.

You think somebody edited your tune? Or that you got
the car with some tuning in place?

Problem might be with expectations. It is a heavy car
that will burn as much gas as you give it. Only time I
see better tham 16MPG is a highway-only tank.

I think the first owner (i'm the third owner) may have messed with the tune. For sure the shift points and converter lockup are quite screwed up. But the previous owner had the transmission rebuilt a few months ago so i'm not sure if the trans shop messed with the shift points and converter lockup or if it was the first owner.

I've never gotten over 16mpg (all highway) and never gotten more than 220 miles per tank.

The previous owner told me that she got 280 miles per tank and she was running 87 octane.

With a slightly modded stock auto car I could get low 20s all day with mixed slightly aggressive driving. Mid-20s mixed/mostly hwy if I was nice on the throttle

Our software doesn't use any credits to read the pcm or use the scanner.

Only uses credits when you want to flash a pcm or save a modified file.
