So I bought hptuners from kyspeed on friday and got it in today! So I installed it and what do you know I have to have some #$&*ing application key which I dont have and cant get a hold of anyone right now. So there goes tuning anything this weekend even though I paid extra for sunday/overnight delivery.

I purchased through a reseller, i cant do anything on the site without the application key.

You can still register as a member on hptuners site, with or without any other numbers/app. keys/etc., but doubtful you'll get any support from them on a holiday weekend. That's something that should have been told to you upfront by the seller. Good Luck though, as maybe you'll luck out and get the needed info.

figures. I needed to get this car going while im off over the holiday weekend. thats my luck. I was hoping someone was on from hptuners and would help out. however, im not that lucky.

Was there not a thick piece of white paper in the box? It will have the disk serial number and application key on it.

Yes there was, but it says that you will have the key in an email and to copy and paste it into the field on the application. There isnt a serial or key on the paper, the serial is on the outside of the box and on a little sticker on the cable. Thats it.

And why hp tuners makes it like this ill never know. Its really stupid. Send the key with the cd like every other company known to man.

It's been a while, but it sounds right that I had to email for the key.

Unless it's already on the CD it would be worth it to email support and ask for access to the latest Beta software. It has some nice improvements over 2.22 and won't require the key since they setup the software download off your login screen on HPT's website. It may be a longshot on the holiday weekend though.

I really appreciate the reply. I thought that I had to get it from the reseller and not support. I was able to get a hold of the reseller and he hooked me up. Im really enjoying hptuners so far, although im like a bull in china shop at the moment- but im learning.
