Default Idle tuning. Car has hard time staying running when hot.

Car is a HC with a 228/232 .600/.601 cam on a 111LSA and ported 243 heads.

The cold-start idle is dead on. Smooth, no drama. However, if the car is started once the engine is warm (i.e. second start of the day, etc), then it likes to surge down to 400RPM or so and sometimes die. This happens when backing out of parking spots, slow (less than 10mph) cruising, etc. I can keep it running by applying a little gas.

To be honest, I'm running out of stuff to look at. Any input on the parameter that could be my issue would be greatly appreciated. I've been screwing around with this for quite some time.

BTW, I'm unsing HP Tuners SD 2-bar. Car used to be FI, thus the weird operating system.

If you're not running boost then I'd begin with relocating the IAT out of the
engine bay to someplace that reads real outside air temp. SD-only mode
makes IAT a primary factor in computing airflow. The question is, which air?
Engine bay heat soaked, probably ain't it.

You might also try adding some base running airflow, say 10% at a time in the running temp cells. If that doesn't work, add some integral airflow to the in gear and P/N tables in the idle PID. If you've already messed with those, try cracking your throttle body a little more.

I ended out adding 15% to the running temp cells above 111 degrees. That made a huge difference. Not sure why it "wandered" from the calculations I made when initially installing the cam, but all seems better now.

Thanks
