picked up extra 5.3 with carb intake but no msd coil driver. have a spare dbw computer n semi hacked up harness layin here. gettin hp tuners for my 6.0 turbo build so i could use it on this computer too but wonderin if it is possible to just drive coils with this extra computer hookin up crank and cam sensors and coils? has anyone ever tried it?

Yes you can. Have done ignition only harnesses before with 411 PCM's. So the fbw PCM will work as well with the right OS.
