Default Started car up and now theres electrical problems, need advice

I just finished putting in my 390ci lq4 along with long tubes and ory. I started it up and there is a high pitch whine coming from my car and my head lights come on very dim and then they will go out, some times the whine will go away when the lights go out. I have not connected 2 grounds yet, the one behind the alternator connected to the body and also the one that's close to the front o2 on the driver side. Could this be my problem? Its a 2000 Camaro.

I guess attaching the grounds and re-testing is just out of the question here...

the whine might be coming from your alternator, its probably dying without that ground wire

I think the whine was my air pump, I still have two hoses coming out of it that lead to nothing because I ripped all the other ones off when putting my engine back in, I'm gonna try and un plug it and see what happens.
