car will turnover but not start
Car sat for 2 weeks and i went to start it and it just turnsover. I have a fuel pressure gauge in the car and a return style system. When I turn the key fuel pressure goes to 60 then fades to zero quickly. when cranking fuel pressure does no come back and car wont start. I do not believe it is a security issue light goes out with key and i tried disabling vats in tune.I can force the fuel pump on and have pressure as well. no codes BCM or PCM. I am at a loss! car is a 2001 corvette. any ideas?

well the pcm is obviously not allowing the car to start as it cut the fuel pump and must have cut spark as well. it would be nice if there was a code thrown so i would know where to look... so i am looking for something that will cause this with no code

If your pressure is dropping straight to ZERO after a prime- then you either have a bad pump, a bad regulator, or a big leak in the tank. Probably one of the take lines has a split. GL
edit: Ive seen a failed set of injectors cause none of them to work. Swapped a whole rail with injectors from one car to another and fired right up. But we check all the other stuff first =)

pulled the pump and all good there... looking like the regulator. I forced the pump on and got pressure and still wouldnt start im thinking i may have fouled the plugs. so ill get a new set and go from there.

The way this setup works the pump turns on 2 sec then off to build pressure when it goes off pressure drops immediately. I'm going to try a new regulator, hopefully that is it checked everything else but the injectors

Yes it was, There is a check valve in the c5 corvette fuel system that was stuck open. I blew air through the line with the check valve in it and all good now...
