Default Intake Backfire?

What are the likely causes of an intake backfire?

I have an LS3 with a Harrop Hurricane ITB.
The car runs fine, however only very occasionally, a quick blip of the throttle from low revs will cause a backfire through the intake. The majority of the time it won't happen though. I suspect the transient fuelling side of my tune needs work and it possibly goes lean during a quick throttle blip?

What could be the cause of this?

Cheers
Benno

I haven't managed to capture a log of it yet.
It doesn't do it very often.
