LS6 CTSV PCM with FBody Harness for LS6/700r4..will it work?
I'm working on a LS6 swap on Chevy K10,I'm looking to keep it stock for a few months.
I'm looking to use the CTSV PCM(M6)with Fbody engine harness(auto)....will this combo work?
or do i have to use
Fbody PCM (auto) and FBody harness?
thanks for your help

You will need to use the f body PCM to use that harness. The CTS-V uses the blue and green plugs and is set up for electronic throttle.
the 411 PCM is what you are looking for, I've bought them at boneyards out of s10s for $25 with plugs and bracket. They can be reflashed with the fbody calibration with a tech2

no that combo wont work together, also what yr f-body harness there are differences in the pcm pinouts from 1998-02
99-02 truck harnesses\comp are easier to come by in my opinion and prolly cheaper, plus the longer harness might be easier for your swap but keep in mind that the pcm is mounted on the drivers side by the radiator food for thought

700-R4 or a 4L60E
If a 700 put it in the dumpster and use a later model 4wd 4L60E LS transmission your finished product will be waaay better and nicer to drive.
Are you planning on a cable actuated throttle body or drive by wire makes a difference in your harness. (I'd stick with a cable TB)
The easiest thing to do for your application would be to run the 99-02 12270411 F-car pcm and harness with a 2002 auto trans tune in it and have a sponsor like speartech build a plug and play harness for you. If not any 99-02 truck or fcar harness can be modified to be standalone it's just a lot of work and depends on if you are into building harness'.
Or if you already have the pcm/harness/tac module and pedal from the LS6 CTSV car then have a sponsor build it into a plug and play harness and or DIY it into a stand alone and leave it DBW.

I agree 4l60e is much better choice. no detent cable configuring theres not much to the harnesses though 12v key power, battery hot, ground, gauge signal wires except ect need a 3 wire sensor either way buy or make one pending on your budget itll be nice when its done
