Default Installing AFR gauge. 95 lt1

I am buying a 95 z28 friday. Heres the ad. http://neworleans.craigslist.org/cto/4251984956.html

I know the guy selling it. I saw and drove the car. The spray is not hooked up because the bottle is empty and hasnt been used on it since around 2002. I am wanting to get it working again. It is a wet 125 shot. It has all the correct stuff to run it but im getting parts to make sure its safe. I got the mallory 685 box and the msd harness. My next purchase is the afr gauge. I decided on the NGK AFX wideband set up. I read the write up on the install. Does anyone have any tips or suggestions for the install of the wide band/ mallory box, or anything else i should look at getting. The 02 sensors and cats and tuned out. Where is the best place to mount the wideband. Ive read put it where the 02 sensor goes. the merge. the left side or right side. everyone said different places. Thanks for any help.

If you put it where one of the rear O2 sensors went you better make sure you have no leaks on any of the connections upstream of it.

The nitrous system needs maintenance work to be sure it will work good. After 12 years it's not a good idea to just fill the bottle and hit it.

Hook the noids up to a 12v source. If they click and not plugged up I'd use them if they were mine.

Solenoids are completely serviceable. Disassemble, clean and reassemble. The fuel solenoid can also be lubricated with a little WD-40. Don't apply any lubricant to the nitrous solenoid.

Even if they "click" they may be unreliable. No need to replace, only cleaning and inspection of the plunger, seals and springs is enough (replace any worn or damaged parts)

You should first focus on ignition timing. Wet kits are always jetted on the rich side.
