HP Tuners - RTT enhancement

HP Tuners - RTT enhancement
How many of you guys use the RTT enhancement in Hp tuners.
Seems like it would save me a lot of time while tuning... Just not sure how many tables you can edit in real time and how well it works. Is it worth the $100 foro credits? I do not need any of the other enhancements since I plan on keeping my MAF.
Thanks,
Mike.

It's the OS I drive around with. I used it after the cam swap,
it can be handy for timing tables, airflow tables and so on.
Avoids a couple minutes of parking and flashing; if you are
working iteratively this can add up.
It's just a way to make some aspects easier; you can always
do it the long way of course.

Does the RTT actually write to the tune, or does it just change parameters on the fly to see how the engine reacts but then once you turn it off it goes back to the original numbers and you have to actually flash a new tune to get the changes?
I've played with idle timing and RPM using the VCM scanner but once you shut that off all changes go out the window...is that the RTT or is it something else more robust?

Once you turn the car off all changes made with RTT are erased and the PCM reverts to flash contents.
All real time tuning systems work the same way. It is not permanent until you flash the final tune to the PCM

I just had to pay the other day to get the OS with RTT (SD) - so not sure how you get it free?
But, I really like it. It is slow to update as people say. But it is very useful the the beginning stages of tuning when you are way off. Also good to dial things like idle in. You just have to remember to copy the table before disconnecting the scanner or you will loose all your work!
