Default Coolant/overheating issue.

We'll finally finished my forged ls3 build on my silverado. Truck was running decent after tune and wot runs from the street tune. After I got it tuned I ran a buddy of mine and truck overheated and coolant came out the resevoir. I know I blew the gasket already just wanna know if coolant inside the engine will ruin anything? Truck does not move anymore since this issue

You should be fine man. I have had Porsches sit with coolant in the cylinders for a couple weeks waiting for **** parts to arrive and I don't have any sorts of catalyst reactions. Ethylene Glycol is still an acidic substance, so I will say, don't leave it in there for a long time.lol. It is water based.

Ethylene Glycol and EPDM are compatible so don't worry too much about the seals.

Ok good had me worried. And I don't plan on leaving it In there soon hopefully I get to changing it this weekend or next. Any suggestions on a good head gasket for my ls3? I was sold felpro by my engine builder.

Felpro makes a damn good gasket in my opinion. I've used them some high horsepower engines that haven't failed me yet.
