I am waiting for a reply from my tuner, but I thought that I would post here. I'm thinking of purchasing a set of truck coils, my stock ones are fine but I understand that with tuning there can be a increase in performance upgrading to the truck coils.
Anyone have experience with this? What would the changes be?

What kind of gains if any are being made with the swap?

Most likely none according to several sponsors here who tried them back when this became a really popular thing to do for a few months after some guy claimed to gain 8hp from them or something.

They do seem common for high boost applications to prevent blowing out spark but that's about it.

thanks that saves me a lot of headaches. I was looking forward to getting the local waterjet shop to fab up some brackets for the new coils.
