Do a search on here, there have been tons of posts about the swap over the years. I know I have seen pinouts and instructions on how to do it on here more than once.

Here are the detailed instructions you need:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/pcm-diagn...-99-pcm-2.html
Note this also works for a 411 PCM as it has the same pinout as a 896 PCM.

I made this swap several years. The biggest suggestion I have is to buy a spare set of connectors. This way you can move one wire at a time from the old connector to the new connector. If you pull out all 100+ wires you will have a huge mess, especially because some colors are used for different purposes.

I noticed one missing item in the directions:
C-2 pin 8 (Tan) -> C-2 pin 25 which is the IAT sensor signal pin B

Also, I'm not sure about the Alternator lines.
The 98 PCM has the Alternator F-Terminal on C-2 pin 11; the instructions don't mention it.
The Corvette '97-'05 PCM has the Alternator F-Terminal on C-2 pin 52.
However, the F-Body '99+ PCM shows nothing on C-2 pin 52.
The Corvet '97-'05 PCM and the F-Bopd '99+ PCM show Alternator L-Terminal on C-2 pin 15.

You will need to figure this out unless someone here can explain it better.

Good luck. I will say that the swap was worth it. The newer 411 PCM lets me simultaneously log many parameter than the '98 PCM.

Thats the best advice you can give someone. I have done many harness conversions and cant even imagine doing it without another set of connectors.
