Default TR6060 to 4L80E swap-what needs to change in tune?

I am a total new-b with HP Tuners (just purchased it). I did this swap on my 2010 camaro ss. I managed to disable the clutch interlock. That was easy. What other areas should I be looking at? I see that some fuel and timing tables are tied to gear, perhaps even areas for adaptive idle.

Just looking for some direction. I want to start driving this thing again. Thanks guys!

Wow...150 views here and another 100 on Camaro5 and not 1 reply. Certainly others have done this swap in a camaro or corvette.?

Your best bet would be getting a file for an automatic and then swapping what you need from your current tune into that file

I thought about that...but then realized it really wouldn't be helpful. I am not going to an AD setup, so any tables geared towards the A6 would be worthless to me. In addition, the stock A6 tune works under the premise that the trans and all sensors are communicating with the ECM...mine wont be.

Did you look in the HPT Repository for a like tune?

If your running a manual 4l80e which I am assuming by your post then I leave the ECM as a mn6 since the Ecm cant see or communicate with the 4l80.

I did not. I did pull a stock 2010 M6 file just to compare with what ECS did to my car.

Yes, the 4L80E will be controlled outside of the stock ECM. So you are saying no other changes inside the computer are needed? If that's true, that is great news!

Edit...I know that the stock ECM can't communicate with the 4L80E. Are there things that need turned off or modified because the M6 is not there anymore and the computer might be looking for it? That was my real question. I should have done a better job asking it.

You may have to do some tuning but with the ecm not seeing the transmission you just have to keep making small changes until your happy with how it idles and drives.

Thanks for all of the responses. I really appreciate it

To be honest, the car never really idled that well. I was shocked to see how little has been changed in the tune by ECS. When compared to a stock M6, very few tables have been touched. Once you get over 2500RPM, the car runs fantastic!

As I go along, I'll try to keep this thread updated so others can learn along with me.
