Default HPTuners is.............

HPTuners is the bomb. Used it for the first time tonight. Amazing how fast it reads and writes compared to edit. Even with my dinasaur laptop.

Using a Toshiba P166, 64mb ram, win98. Using the program and modifying the values is pretty easy. Understanding all the things you have the ability to modify is not so easy.

Comes with a help file, but no paper manual. It will help with using the program, but not much with the actual tuning process.

Edit has a manual, I've read through it. Not that
enlightening in spots.

HPTuners has a help system which is similar, and
also a bit light in places.

Neither of them is going to give you actual "how
should I tune" advice, on account of our friendly
legal system. So don't expect much beyond "this
is what it means" and if you're lucky, "what it does
when you do that" on some of it.

Last release of HPTuners included substantial adds
to the Help documentation. But, in any case you
will probably learn more from the 'boards.
