We need one for a MAF-less tune. I would love one where it is tuned off MAP sensor. Especially on a head-cam car. This kind of tune is simular to Speed Density without baramoter adjustments?

I'm making a decision this weekend, LS1Edit or HPTuners...

This is a great resource for HPTuners, if I go that route I'll definately contribute.

Nice work !

I was searching through here but didn't find a stock .bin. Has anyone uploaded one for those that may need to reflash their PCM to stock? I was just curious. Cheers !!!

Hello,
I am newB, I have not had the chance to familiarize myself with my new HP Tuner VCM Suite as much as I would have liked yet but I have a couple questions for uploading my .bin file.

Is it true you need to have a Stock tune in my PCM prior to doing anything because I have an Intense Standard PCM with adjustable timing flashed in for my ICCU.

If I do need to start with a Stock Tune - is there anyway I can "read" what I currently have - save it then return my PCM to stock??

Would that Intense file be a bin file and would I be able to upload that to this forum or would that be illegal?? I have dealt with Scott for quite some time and he has helped me trmendously, I just received almost $5 grand worth of engine stuff from him so I would rather not do anything that may be considered "stepping on his toes."

I just uploaded my tune for a 2000 WS6 A4 with the following mods:

4.10 gears, Hot Cam, 1.8 Rockers, LSX Intake, Ported TB, Headers, Cats, O2 Sims, 180* Therm

It has the rev limiter reset to 6400, idle to 850, speed limiter & Torque Mgmt turned off (set to max) and fans reset for the thermostat. Plus it has a lot of other tweaks that I confess I do not understand yet. (It's a custom tune that I massaged with my Predator)

If anyone knows how to adjust tranny settings, I'd love to hear from you! I need to tweak 2 things initially. My tranny shifts into 2nd gear at 5mph & then immeidately into 3rd under normal throttle. Sometimes it just slips past 2nd & goes straight into 3rd. And when I'm moving more than 5mph, the idle goes up over 1500rpms. So it rolls along at 35mph without touching the gas. Any direction about what to revise would be MUCH appreciated!

Mark

I saw a bin file that I wanted for my truck but it said that the file was not approved yet to be downloaded. How long does it usually take for a file to be approved so I can get it running on my truck. Thanks!

Just added all items ... approval time varies, sometimes I approve minutes after submission... this week i've been bad due to work ...

Next week may be bad too since I'm going to Louisiana for the Thunder Shootout... but if at any time there's a .bin listed that you can't download... feel free to email me mike@horist.com and I'll take care of it asap

OK i'm a bit of a newb so i gots a question about the HP Tuners......

I checked out the site...searched for my C5 FRC and got a TransAMws6.bin

Now the engines are similar being that they are both LS1's.....but will the bin still work since the vette has an electronic throttle.....along with other minor differences???

Just curious....and thanks for any imput as tuning is alllllll new to me.....:burnout:

I don't believe the .bin will work... with all files in the repository it's generally best to view them and then copy over the differences ... so that you understand what was changed...

you could take many of the tables from the transam file and copy them into your C5 .bin then write your own C5 .bin to your PCM though

Can you email the .bin to me? mike@horist.com

FOr some reason the .bin file is showing as 513KB (83241676.bin) instead of 512KB and when I try to open it it won't open

I added a comment in the LS1 edit file main screen that made the file larger. Ignore my first e-mail, you probably can't open it unless you have LS1 edit. Check your email #2.
Thanks,

Hans

Never mind, taking the comment out did not change the size. it is still 524,311 bytes. Let me know if you still can't open it

^^^ Oh ok, I thought it was an HP Tuners .bin file ... opens fine in my LS1 Edit 1.3 ...

I'll go through the file later this week and transfer the tables from LS1 Edit to an HP Tuners 02 .bin file for posting in the repository

Sorry, didn't realize the file change did not reciprocate from edit back to tuner. My bad
