Default Edit readout my a/r?

I am in the market for hptuners or ls1 edit. I have a 408 being built and should be done in a few weeks, and wondering if these tuners will READ a/r.
I know you can adjust the a/r what would I need a scanner and then reprogam with edit? Not sure. Thanks for all your help!

Only HP Tuners will tell you what your O2 readings are and your STFT's and LTFT's. This gives you a ballpark idea if you are running rich or lean (Basically if close to 14.7 it will be accurate but anything high or low of that and you are just guesstimating what you A/F ratio is) but it definitely will not tell you the exact A/F ratio. That is what a wideband system is designed to do.

LS1 Edit does not have any scanning capabilities even though it is "rumored" in the future they are trying to add such capabilities.
