Default My car has never been Autotap'd, having someone do it, what do I look for?

The car has the mods below, has been ran at the track, but has never been Autotap'd. It has MTI tuning, but hasnt had a tune since April of '03. I personally dont know how to use it, muchless know what needs to be done, but Im going to find someone local who can do it, and I wanted to know what I need to look/watch for. I wanna make sure that the car is where its suppose to be. Back when I ran the car at the track last, which was in May of this year, I wasnt running the times that I should/could of been with the mods that I had, and lots of people were telling me to Autotap it. Can you make any changes with Autotap or is it just a tool that tells you where the car stands? Anyhow, let me know, thanks.

ATAP is "look, but don't touch".

You will have a limited set or params you can pull
at one time. What to choose, depends on what
you are chasing. I have PID sets I prefer for
trans issues, for misfires, for general running-
around.

What are you most interested in knowing?

jimmyblue: I dont know what Im looking for, that is what I wanted to know. Back when I posted about my times and my mods, I was getting a lot of responses to Autotap the car, but I dont remember anyone saying what exactly to look for. So in other words, it only shows what the car is doing and cant make changes? It will only tell you so many things at one time? Again, I dont know what Im looking for, I just wanna be sure that the car is running top notch for best results.

My "general" PID list I use is something like

Vehicle speed
RPM
TPS
MAP
MAF lb/min
Volumetric Efficiency
Dynamic Cylinder Air
Spark Advance
KR
Knock Learn Factor
Fuel Air Multiplier
Injector PW B1
HO2S B1S1
LTFT B1
Fuel Trim Cell
Delivered Torque - Engine

That all fills up my 24-PID "rack". Older versions of
ATAP I think could not hang with 24PIDs x 10 frames
per second, though EFILive and HPTuners do. So you
may have to compromise on params or rate, or not.
