Unhappy hesitation after new fuel filter

hey all.. i am new here.. great site btw..
newayz.. just got a new fuel filter installed last week and just noticed quite a bit of hesitation initially when i punch the throttle at 2000-3000 rpms.

i had the car tuned about a month ago (it was found to be running lean)..

i have also noticed a lot of movement in the 6-sp shifter (possible tranny mount on the way out). could these be related??

what could be the cause/fix of this hesiation??
mods K&N intake, ported TB, LS6 intake, catback exhaust (magnaflows)
dyno'd 328hp 337tq (after tune)

Hesitation is usually associated with being lean. Since this happens when you punch the throttle, it makes me think it could be a prob. with your ve table since that is what's referenced for fueling during throttle transients. This lean spot can also quite possibly give you a blip of kr too.

i dont understand why this would happen after a new fuel filter.. it was dyno tuned w/ A/F meter to around 13:1 before the filter was installed... but this problem just recently occured with the new filter installed??? and it only happens when i blip the throttle, if i gradually step into it i dont notice a problem??? would it still be the VE tables??

Well, idk about what the filter would have to do with it, but hesitation when blipping the throttle could be a lean spot in the ve table. The ve table is referenced during sudden changes in map, like blipping the throttle. It could also be something with fuel pressure i suppose. So it didn't have any hesitation before the filter change? Maybe try a different filter??? Sorry I can't be of much help. Hope you get it all figured out.

If it was tuned to the "fuel flow reality" of the crusty
old filter, then maybe your fueling is now up, and the
tune is richer than before.
