Aftermarket ECU
Has anyone installed an aftermarket ECU and kept gauges functioning? What else needs output from ECU to function? I'm talking an '04 GTO but any input is more than welcomed. thanks

I'm pretty sure F.A.S.T and Gen7 allow piggybacking which is what you want, BS3 may do it, I think MIGHTYMOUSE has some of his gauges working with his BigStuff3, last I talked to him I think he had his sensors split to both PCMs

yes, found that after Boostaholic mentioned MIGHTMOUSE did something like this and found your thread from that. Thanks, makes me feel better. Short on time, that answered almost everything. It's good to know someone's been through it.

If you didn't think i was crazy already....you will now.
Has anyone removed the stock PCM and used any aftermarket ECU in it's place sucessfully? I mean, the dash stills works and no error codes are being thrown from other modules. No disabling them but giving them what they need to keep functioning normally. Make any sense?
