code p1870 tranny component slipping

code p1870 tranny component slipping my gf's car a v6 camaro threw this code coming back from los angeles. about an hour and a half drive. i checked the code and it said immature and old. what caused this? i did noticed it would shift hard in first. today it seems fine though. any thoughts?

Valvebody. These Valvebodies (1996 and later) are notorious for the TCC Regulator valve bore wearing out causing low or no TCC apply, which sets the code. Put a TransGo Reprogramming kit in it (has an updated Regulator valve) which will remedy most P1870 codes assuming the Torque Converter is good.
