Default HPT and LC-1 not working right...HELP

I can't get my LC1 and EIO working right. I'm not sure if it's wired wrong or what..but i've seen a handfull of threads and i'm still lost..

Here's how I have it wired:

LC-1:
red: connected to 12v source
blue: grounded to chassis
white: connected to EIO black
yellow: not used
brown: connected to EIO white
Green: grounded to chassis
black: connected to pushbutton and grounded

I'm using the LC-1 pid in HPT and it reads a steady 11.39-11.43 no matter what. Doesn't change at all...so what's the deal

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP BEFORE I SMASH THIS LC-1 and EIO WITH A BAT

Take your Green wire and connect it to the EIO Black wire as well. Was your light blinking?? Also make sure that the red wire from the LED and one side of the switch are connected to the LC1 black wire and take the other side of the switch and the black wire from the LED and take them to chasis ground...

I had the green wire tied into the black EIO and it still didn't work...does it have to be connected to the black EIO wire AND grounded?

It'll blink for the first 15-30seconds then go steady

It will blink while the sensor heats up and should go steady on after that. If that is what yours is doing then you have it right....

If you haven't got it working yet, take the LC-1 white and blue and ground it to chassis ground. Take the LC-1 green and put it on the EIO black.

Also, make sure the LC-1 black cannot accidently touch a ground.

2001 pewter told the proper way to do it. That is how I have mine setup, and it works fine. Now, you said it reads 11.4:1 all the time. This is what mine read when I had one wire not connected (it must be a default reading). Double check your connections/splices, I would bet that is where the problem is. I used some crimp connectors and doubled over the wires a couple times because they are such light gauge. You might try that.
