Default Timing & all idle tables w/ bigger cam

Ok, i have a 232/236 .574 .577 112. For ***** & giggles I loaded a completely stock bin file and only changed DTC and VE table. I am using stock timing and all idle controls (eg. IAC park position effective table, ...) and the car runs perfect. I mean my idle is better than it was with the "dyno" tune I got over a year ago. Anyone know why or how this could be? I did get my IAC counts down to around 35ish with the motor warm. And I idle at 850, 900 w/ A/C on. Just curious why there is alot of write ups on idle and yet I changed mine to stock and have had no issues for a couple of days now. Hot or cold startup is fine. Matter of fact my "dyno" tune IAC park position was at 48 all the way across the board,. Doesnt that seem a little high? Should I leave it to stock timing until I get the VE table within limmits or maybe use the 'Dyno" timing table. This car made 420 rwhp cam only w/ 28 timing on a dynojet with the "dyno" tune. I do not have Wb02 to tune it myself. I will have to use narowband.

Buy the wideband; don't even try to tune without. The WBO2 will be the best investment you'll ever make for your car.

As StealthV put it, the WBO2 is one of the best investments you can make. There was a guy in this forum selling LC-1's at a great price.

You lucked out. I changed mine back to stock and with the little cam I have it idled like pure stangshit! Maybe if I had a undrilled TB Blade or something?

Yeah I do need to invest in one. What is the best all around one to get? Also to run mafless (SD tune) do you need 1 bar or any other stuff besides just HPTuner 1.7?

What do you mean? Sorry for sounding so stupid! What I mean is that I kinda like running in sd so far, even though I am still tuning my trims. What all do I need if I dont want to run a maf? Just keep on tuning like I am ans just dont enable my maf or do i need anything else to support a SD tune besides 1.7?

Having the 1bar extras helps out for those of y'all with gigantic donkey-dick cams or more hardcore racing setups. 1.7 as it stands can perfectly align SD fueling for most street cars if desired Wideband would be an excellent tool, pick one, LM-1 did it for me
