Default wierd problem

In 4th gear accelerating in normal driving, between 2000rpm and 2300 rpm it pulls timing by 3-4*. Any idea on what would cause it? I can feel the power loss and hear the exhaust tone change. Only mods are a lid and a catback. Thanks

PS I don’t know if it’s related or not, but sometime the engine ticks at idle. Perhaps a collapsed lifter or bent pushrod?

I had almost the exact same issue as you. Knock causes it.

Although there are several things that can cause knock, mine was caused by oil entering thru the pcv system. After installed my catch can, my KR went away.
