getting rid of engine management?
is there a kit or something that i could buy to set my car up with a carburator? i'm having problems tuning my car via HPtuners and dont really wanna drive 3-4+ hours every time i wanna change some thing.
a carburator and no electronics would help tremendously....
any body have any ideas?

Edelbrock and MSD (IIRC) both make Carb replacement setups. You do not need to cut apart your cowl, just have the carb manifold machined down at least .30" inches and run a small diameter drop down filter housing. It will be tight, but should work.
What is so difficult that you are having problems tuning with HPT? We are still on the stock ECU and we are running very low 10s. I could make this car a street driven car again if I wanted to. I am very pleased with HPTuners.

There is a GMPP water pump housing and cam "spud"
that will let you run an HEI distributor, a mechanical
fuel pump off a LS1 cam. 4BBL intakes are available
from GMPP, others I expect as well.
I saw the article in Chevy High Performance a while
back, posted it up but can't remember the details
now.
