Default When to reset/disconnect battery??

I have heard a few guys talk about taking the negetive off the battery post for 10 min. to reset the computer. Is that something you do after reseting codes or can this be done to help the computer adjust to new mods? Sorry if this is a stupid question, still learning the whole computer thing. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Embarrassed]" src="gr_emb.gif" />

If you get an SES code and need to clear it, that is one way. Using a ATAP or other programs that let you read the code is better as then you know your problem.

Some people like to clear the computer after adding a mod. There is a debate as to whether it is necessary for typical bolt-ons, since the computer is continually learning. I generally did it.

Thanks for the info Ragtop. I think I`ll do it after mods, doesn`t seem like it will hurt. Thanks again.
