5 Pin corvette MAF and SD
I'm looking at the writeup and folling it at the moment for SD tuning of a 01 z06 which has the 5 pin maf with the integral IAT sensor. How are you guys unpluggin the MAFs and still getting the IAT input into it? Or are you just leaving the MAF plugged in disabling it via the software? Thanks.

Excellent, it said in the writeup to set it to 1 so I'd think 0 is virtually the same thing. Wonder why it sais it needs to be unplugged? Thanks, getting ready to start loggin now!!!

It says to unplug it because it was written against older vehicles like the 99 C5s where the MAF is separate from the air intake temp sensor. The later models like 01+ integrated the air intake temp sensor in the MAF. So when you would disconnect the plug it would knock out both, which puts you into reduced power mode, because Speed Density needs the air intake temp sensor reading to operate.

take the maf rip out the three top prongs for the maf frequency , but keep the two for the IAT, then rip out everything inside that maf (including the aluminum divider deal, maf wires, etc..) but make sure you dont damage the little IAT tab thats inside the MAF, then you can just plug in the factory plug, and once you open up the maf, it really isnt a restriction.
