Default system readiness tests not completing

O.K., here in New York we have the OBD II testing for our yearly inspection and I was due....yesterday. I didn't take the car because I know it will fail, I'm showing with HP Tuners that the catalytic status readiness test is not complete. It's been like this for quite some time and won't seem to complete. The car isn't throwing any codes, but I still can't pass w/o that test completed. Could it be bad after cat O2's? I have MAC mids on the car with their catted Y. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I would just tune the rears out, but I'm not sure how without upsetting the readiness tests.

haha i just figured this out on my truck, i have no reason to have them read complete, but I fidget with stuff!

On go through and turn off all of the rear o2's stuff, P0137-147, P0157-167, P0420 and 430. These are all the rear o2 and catalytic effiiency codes. Set these to "no error reported. Then go through on those codes and set the SES enable "on".

This should make the oxygen sensor and catalytic efficiency tests read complete.

Follow this and be done with it...they'll go ready instantly, and you will eventually rot in hell for killing the baby seals

That worked for me, as well. In fact, it was the only way I could get the test to complete.

Did you have the car tested in speed density? If so, what did you do with the MAF codes?

have you guys gotten the full readiness tests done in SD? I usually drive in SD, and i could get my MAF inline, but I'm just wondering if it's possible to have a permanent SD car that passes the tests.

Hence my question...my MAF inexplicably went missing about a week ago, and hasn't been seen since

You can get the full readiness test, but you will still not be able to get rid of the MAF code. You should just toss the MAF in for inspections just in case if you are worried about it.

No, I plugged the MAF back in to drive to the inspection station, then unplugged it almost immediately after leaving.

Josh, was your MAF calibrated at all for the test, or did you just try to hack it untuned? do they measure anything at where you at or just odb test it?

No, it wasn't calibrated. They only do OBDII testing here, so as long as four of the six readiness tests are complete, the car will pass.

Yeah you will have to have the MAF throw a code to go into SD. This method also works for EGR and AIR systems, just find all the codes related to the test and repeat the method, works like a charm
