tune repository for predator
Is there a tune repository like the one for HP tuners but for the predator that you can go to and download others custom tunes? Will the files from the HP tunes repository download and work with the predator?

This is a great idea, and is much needed. Their are plenty of cars like the new GTO's, CTS-V's, and ZO6 vetts, running the DIABLO SPORT PREDATOR tuner. The PREDATOR has the ability to upload/download tunes via the optional cable/power supply package.... But no popular website has of yet stepped up to the plate and offered to utilize this feature of the PREDATOR for its members benifit. This could help so many folks out. I hope the moderators see this post, and atleast give it some thought. This is long overdue... The DIABLO SPORT PREDATOR is one (if not the most) popular handheld tuners made.
Hopefully other DIABLO SPORT PREDATOR users will read this post and offer their support. We need a place where we can share our DIABLO SPORT PREDATOR bins with one another.

Quick two cents...
HP tunes and DIABLO tunes are apples and oranges (software wise). We need to focus on what we can do.... If LS1TECH.com is willing to help out, as they will have a chance to be first to offer what no other website has.......... A place where folks with a passion for performance can swap PREDATOR tune files with one another.
Again.... This is a great idea, and should not be passed up.

Posted a question to Diablosport to see if the Predator is capable of downloading existing bin files from a repository. We'll see how they respond. If the Predator can't, it should!!!!!!!!! Maybe a next gen improvement?

you read my mind I was just thinking about this because as usual RWTD is slow to respond for tuning requests.
Excellent idea sir, I would LOVE to see something like this.

FYI,
The best tune to be achieved with a PREDATOR..... Is to find a local dyno shop that uses the "DiabloSport ChipMaster Revolution Software", this has every kind of adjustment you can imagine (just like the other software's have) but is compatible with the PREDATOR tuner. After the shop dyno/tunes your car with this software, they will save the custom tune in the PREDATOR for your use.... This is the way to go. No more guess work, just the most H.P. without guessing!!
BTW... Again, if we had a place to swap tunes, these custom tunes could also be swapped with one another.... Of course your mods would have to be listed with the tune.

main problem w/a diablosport repository is that it's NEVER a good idea to use someone elses tune in your car unless youv'e verified the tune and can scan/log the car...
The HPT repository is for learning only, no tunes should ever be used blindly in another car even if they have 100% the same mods...

That's a good point. I've been to the dyno (w/ wideband) and I have Autotap so I do have scan/log capability but I understand what you're saying about being able to see the tune before you put it into the car with HP Tuners. I assume this is what you mean ?
That being said I could see a repository being different for Predator files (.crg) in that you would be putting alot more faith in others, especially if you don't have any scan/logging capabilities.
Granted it's the responsibility of the end user to have some means to verify the tune is good I sure wouldn't want to be blindly putting tunes into my car without knowing what they are.

It would be nice if Diablo Sport would keep a repository with safe tunes for its customers. They could have tunes for different mod configurations. This would at least get predator users pretty close and then just use the fine tune capabilities of the Predator to get you right on. Doubt this will happen.
