Default Maf ?

I got a MAF off a 2003 Silverado with a 5.3L. I got a connector to run it on my car, with all the intake ducting. I was wondering if anyone has ran this type of setup and if it will give me anything or hurt me? It looks like the one SLP sells. Just curious it was free, any help would be appreciated. Thanx

I run this kind of MAF, minus the screen. You need to change
the MAF table in your tune or it will run pig rich and set a
mixture code soon. It's not going to do much for airflow on
a stock motor. It will be a minor improvement airflow-wise
on a somewhat-modded motor. On a motor running big air
it will hit the frequency limit before the stocker would. So
I wouldn't be in a big ol' hurry to go hang it on there, you
need to have the tuning covered.
