question about superchips tuner

question about superchips tuner I was thinking about buying one from a guy for my 2000 TA. It is the correct part number for my car but are they VIN specific tuners. He had this on a 03 vette. I checked and his also calls for the same as mine. I guess is what I'm asking is will it work on mine or is it set for his VIN on his car? Thanks

As far as I know it will only work if he has reset his computer back to factory.
Once he does that then I believe it is able to be used for a different car. you should call the factory and ask them if it will work for your car. here is the phone number 407-585-7000 in FL. or http://www.superchips.com
