Default Stalling Vette, please help.

I just installed a new 408, a new tranny, new DTE Rear-End, new stall, new suspension and a new fuel system. Car ran great for about 5 miles, now it stalls. I'm running open headers, (the car is tuned for full exhaust.)the rear O2's are turned off. Could me being opened headers be the reason my car stalls after about 20 sec. of idleing, of as soon as you go to put it into gear..? I'm thinking that I may have toasted the front O2's.

I sent my PCM off to a tuner, "Moe Bailey" to get a baseline tune so I can brake it in and then we can do a dyno tune. Anyway I gave him a very detailed list of the mods, and he said that he made the proper adjustements. I have my car at a local shop, they are going to check it out Monday. Hopefully they will get it. I know Moe's tune is good, I just can't figure all of his out..

Maybe some one else can chime in on this. Charlie did send me the PCM with a list of all of the mods done. I programed his PCM and sent it back to him. The car fired right up and idled for some 30-40 minutes, he called me to tell me how nasty the car sounded and I could hear it idleing in the back ground. He then shut it down and let it set overnight to remove the intake manifold to retorque the head bolts, this is when it went downhill. after that the car would not idle and the plugs were carbon fouled, He was running TR-8's. I told him to install hotter plugs but the problem still existed. He removed the intake manifold again and I beleive found some O-rings that were rolled, and a couple of vacum lines not connected, (Charlie can chime in here). any way the problem is still there, it will not idle and dies if he puts it into gear. All of this took place after the manifold was removed. I am not there with the car but he said that all has been checked and there is no more vacum leaks..
It sounds like it still has a vacum leak somewhere but ???

Sounds like it could be a bad MAP sensor.

Is there a way of testing the MAP sensor.

I pulled off the driver's side valve cover. Yes, well, I found our little problem... #7 cylinder rocker pedistol is broken. I can't believe it. I'll call Texas Speed on Wednesday. I'm sure Jason, and Jon will take care of me.. I'll let you guys know how it goes. The motor, heads rear-end and tranny only have 5 miles on it.

Good example of how tuning can't fix mechanical problems! Too bad it broke but at least you found the problem!

You have no idea. My only problem, is that these heads broke under idle. I am no where near breaking this thing in yet. I can imagine me being at the end of a 1/4 mile run @ 7000 RPMs on a 500 shot. I would probably have push rods hanging out of my *** right now...
