Default Do I have a tune?

How do I tell if the car has had a tune for the computer?I know very little about the car when I bought it.Several friends have driven the car who had LT1s in the past and they have stated that theirs never ran this well,ever.A4 car, gutted cat, catback and thats it.It has the 3.23 rear end.On the 1-2 shift it spins the tires hard, and the shift itself is very hard.I dont want to pay for a tune if its already done.

have someone with the unlimited version for your vehicle read the file & compare it to a stock file.

I thought that was only possible with LS1 cars.

Most tuners would tell you before they tune it if it was stock or not. I doubt they would charge you double.

And if your car runs very good now, It may not be worth it to tune it anyways. Unless you have a little quirk you dont like about something.
