Default PCM Schematic

Does anyone have a schematic of the PCM or know if the various 5v refs are from the same source (yes, different pins but same source inside the PCM)?

I don't think the 5V refs are the same. I am sure they lead to different comparors inside the PCM. You could try it but I am going to bet it is going to throw a code if a try let's say an ABS ref to a TPS ref.

I figured they were on different comparators but I was hoping they were supplied on the same rail so I could use a single vref+/-. But that would be too easy

You could check it by measuring one while applying
(and not) a load to another. I suspect GM would
would have put some current limiting between pin
and the 5V regulator. In which case the deflection
would be too small to measure if the regulator is
any good.

What does commonality matter, and is it nonviable
to pick up a 7805 to make your own +5V? How good
do you need it to be?

Well, I know I tried it one time and it threw a code until I corrected the wiring by the book. I don't want to say no but you might be looking for trouble by doing this.
