Should I get a tune??

Id say if ur not planing on a H/C then throw in a pulley and an LS6 intake and then go for a tune. Just get a regular street tune, NOT A DYNO TUNE. You dont have a cam so u dont have to worry about your fuel maps and all the other stuff.

Actually being that close to stock there isn't really much drivability tuning needed, but his WOT AFR will be off and his timing could be optimized. Dynotuning can pull out some numbers up top for him, street tuning won't, unless WOT is tuned with a wideband.

Well my car idles high (around 900-1000), plus I just want to make sure the tune in the car is safe, I'd rather not pay $400 for a dynotune, nor do I want something like a HPP3....
Thanks again!

did the previous owner have a cam or anything in the car?? If so look inside the throttle body and see if theres a whole drilled in it. People sometimes do that after a cam swap to let more air in the car if it's idling poorly.

Took it for a ride today....The idle will first jump around 1000 but then drop down to 850ish.....I just want the idle turned down...I don't know what kind of tables and stuff are in it....
