Default IAT Heat soak?

Ive been having a rough time with my car after my new cam(in sig). Ive had it back to the tuners about 4 times and they say its fine. I drive in alot of stop and go traffic and im always in and out of the gas rapidly. The car surges alot and sometimes dies.

They had mentioned to me that the IAT could be getting heat soaked and causing these problems. Has any one in the tuning section seen this? If so is it okay to mount the iat some where else?

Thanks
