MAF tuning theory
I've done a lot of work on the lid, MAF and TB, making the MAF inaccurate. I came up with a theory on how to get this back into the ballpark and would like some input from the gurus. I use HPTuners:
Set MAF Fail Freq=0 to disable the MAF for SD tuning. While the MAF is off, I created a scan chart as follows:
1. X axis - MAF Airflow vs Output Freq (table)
2. Plot value= PID: Dynamic Airflow
What I ended up with is what the system thought was the DUnamic Airflow at each of the MAF frequencies. When I applied this to the MAF curve, it kept pretty much the same curve, but increased the values by about 12-15%.
I haven't re-enabled the MAF yet becasue i'm not quite done with my VE table. Does this sound like a good approach? Is Dynamic Air a decent measure of true airflow?
