Default WTF?? Broke my **** today!!!!

So I was down at Nam. Half way down my third pass, and my guages all die on me except for the Autometers, tach and all. So I get my ticket, drive back through the pits, and back the car in its spot. I turned the car off, and that was it. No more car. It had voltage left in the battery (radio, headlights, etc), but as soon as I tried to start it....nothing. No clicks, no turns, no nothing. All the electronics would just cut off. We tried to jump it, nothing. So a $110 tow later, and my car is parked in the garage, dead. WTF? Would this have anything to do with my PCM?

Fuse panel between driver's side door and the dash....3rd one down on the left or there abouts...should be red.

Exactly what I was going to say. Check the 10 amp "GAUGES" fuse.

Exact same thing happened to me at an AutoX event a few years ago. It ended up being the Gauges fuse as well.

It didn't make much sense to me either until I looked in the user manual. The Body Control Module (BCM) also uses the same fuse. Without the BCM, the car will not start.

Yeah I freak like that also about my transmission. My stop bolts on my pro 5.0 shifter came loose and wouldnet let me into gear So I purchase a stage 2 transmisson upgrade. The fuddup thing about it I put my buddys trans mission in and the same thing was happining but when I check my shifter stop bolts it was loose 6 turns later and $3 lock tight and BOOM it was fix. 2,500 for 3.00

Was it a repetative problem for you? Or did it just happen once? Mine popped again.

For me, it was a one time thing. As I said, I was in an Autocross event at the time. I just happened to take a bad corner and grabbed a cone. The fuse popped then, although hasn't ever since. The car had only 25k miles at the time so I highly doubt it was due to insulation wear and grounding. I looked all over the place for any burnt wiring that may have tapped the block or exhaust because of the cone. I never found the source.
If you're continuing to pop the fuse, I'm going to say the most likely culprit will be an electrical short somewhere, although since there's so many runs off of that circuit, it may be hard to find. You mentioned a pinched wire earlier. Have you verified that it isn't shorting out?

Mine popped only once. It was right after I wired in my shift light. Has been fine since.
