EFILive
just got my V1 scan tool. Other than a bump getting it to talk (thanks Jesse) it looks pretty intuitive. This looks like it's gonna be fun to play with and I may even get my car tuned!
Which PIDs should I turn on for tuning purposes? What's the downside of turning them all (applicable) on? I assume it will limit my scan time or lower my resolution...more data/sec, maybe it just makes the file size larger????
My MPH doesn't work????

This is great!!!
Turned VSS on and made some data log runs.
I will post this in its own thread, but even adding the price of V1 to the price of my wait4Me tune it's a great deal.
What does the "Fuel Status" indicator mean in the bottom left corner? Sometimes mine are red and say "OL-Drive."

Also on the other thread you posted a log with 36 channels you can really tell that there are to many pids, If you play it and look at the gauges they jump all over the place. if you turn it down to 24 it will be really smoth and not jump like crazy. Also 84MPH Watch out for the law!!! LOL
84mph...who me?

Down to 27 channels with 3 priorty 2.s VSS, IAT, and ECT.
I also noticed a few misfire codes such as 1 on cyl #3 and 3 on cyl #7. IS that something to worry about?

Just because its commanding dose not mean that’s what’s happening! Only the 02 sensors can tell you that. Since you don't have a wideband yet, you will have to monitor the narrow band o2 sensors to see what’s going on. Also this only works in the 14.63 area, that’s the only area the narrow bands are accurate.

I have EFILive V2, and the manual says to only monitor a maximum of 24 PID's. I dont know if more will cause problems with accuracy. Try cutting down to 20 or so and give it a try. Just a thought. Good luck.

If you log upto 24 channels you will get 10 frames/second;
If you log between 25 and 48 channels, you will get 5 frames/second.
Some pids require more than 1 channel, others require 1 channel, some require none (they're calculated from other pids).
