Laptop stands?
http://www.afterthoughtsauto.com/mobnotdescam.html
I am posting this in this section as the tuners would be the only ones too have laptop stands in their cars. Which ones have you guys used, if any?
The one on top looks prety good, but is expensive. I was just curious if anyone had any others. There is one being sold on Ebay for about $180, but it doesn't seem to be as removable and hide as nice as the one on top.
thanks
Jimmy

RAM mount is the way to go. I have on in my car and its tough as hell and very stable. Plus there are lots of other other mounts that can attach to it. the only problem I had with the RAM mount was its was wayyy to high or my tastes. I cut the tubes down almost 3" so now at it lowest it just clears the center council. Most Squad cars that I've seen use the RAM Laptop mounts for their laptops as well. Here is a pic of it mounted in my car.
you can also raise it up and put it over the center council and still have a passenger in the car an be able to shift (if its an A4). Also can be raised up so a passenger can use and view the laptop easily as well.

Don't know about the weight.. its pretty heavy though. I had a cheaper laptop mount before I got the Ram mount that was a lot lighter but it was also horribly unstable. I use it with a GPS and map software for long trips along with HPT for tuning so I went with the RAM. To take it completely out all you have to do is remove the 2 front seat mount bolts.

Well afterthougtsauto no longer carrys the Jotto. I got a call from the lady that works there and she explained how the manufacturer is trying to deal with places that have high volume sales, such as law enforcement agencys. I can purchase the Jotto directly from the manufacturer for $325..so now the Ram seems like a better option. Does anyone have a picture of the Ram when you remove it, and just leave the bracket in place? I know that with the Jotto you would only see a very slight piece of metal sticking up. How is it with the Ram? Thanks
