Default cam position sensor

do these go bad, and if they do what would the results be? back fires through intake and out the exhaust. mech timing was checked and verified.
help please...

Did the problem just start? Or did it start after you did something to your engine.

this is an ls1 swap into an s-10,had low opil presure.pulled engine fixed ploblem,reinstalled
engine. it tries to start, even fire over then it dies. and when you try to restart it will back fire or pop through intake.

Did you reinstall the CRANK trigger wires behind the starter?

And make sure all the pink wires in the harness have 12v when key is on
