99 computer with 2001 engine? hi, i just bought a 2001 LS1 engine but i have a 99 LS1 computer. will i run into any major issues with this computer? i'm also wondering the same thing about wiring harnesses. what other years can i use with my 2001 engine?

Re: 99 computer with 2001 engine? Yes, the 99 harness will work ok with the 2001 engine. Ideally you would want to reprogram the 99 computer to turn off the EGR (along with anything else you are not using) and match the flow rate of the larger 2001 injectors.
Other than that it will work ok.
